Derin Yılmaz
Derin Yılmaz received her BA in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College and is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Program at Columbia University. Her work is published across multiple publications ranging from entertainment to lifestyle. She has experience in editorial, film production, book-to-screen development, and book publishing.

From interning at Young Hollywood: The Scene to working as a film development intern at Voltage Pictures in Los Angeles, Derin has worked on book-to-film adaptations, evaluated screenplays, and covered cultural trends and entertainment news in her stories. As a contributor at ECHO magazine, she covers and reviews albums, TV shows, films, and concerts.
She was an Editorial Assistant at Ayesha Curry’s lifestyle magazine/ brand Sweet July and now contributes to the magazine as a writer.
She is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course and received her BA in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College with a minor in Business Management.
